Re: Slaven Bilic deserves praise for turning West Ham into a hard-to-beat flair team
Klopp certainly seems to be struggling to make muchbof an impact at Liverpool.

Most worrying for him should be the players dont seem to be 100% buying into what he is doing...can't say I noticed any real change between them in the last game to the first game.

Bilic on the other hand has worked wonders. He is clearly setting high expectations of himself and the squad...thebexact opposite of the last manager who made out every game we'd be lucky to get something from and that we should be gratefull whenever we didn't get thumped.

The squad have evidently responded and are going into games confident and expecting to stuck one on the oppo. Long may it continue, and long may we stay under the radar.

I'm not remotely interested in these fawning sycophants they wheel out on TV and in the Media doing a fickle about face and starting to get all gooey eyed over us. Fuck them. The West Ham way for me is about punching above our perceived weight, doing it with style and sticking it up the supposed higher echelons. Essentially, "same old West Ham, taking the piss!". Long may Bilic give us the ammunition.

My brother in law is a Liverpool fan. Thinks Klopp is working wonders with what's at his disposal! Last time I checked they had a very expensive and pretty decent side. Certainly better than how they've been performing thus far.

Might as well change his name from Jurgen to Teflon.

Had an internet argument with a few Liverpool fans before the match on Saturday after saying that I'd rather have Bilic than Klopp. Seems they can't take their saviour being criticised after he performed the incredible work of getting them up into seventh place.
They all went quiet after the match for some reason...

Bilic was my choice all along.....managed at international level, also plenty of club experience (Russia, Turkey and Croatia) so I thought he'd be a good fit.

Bielsa? Loose cannon without enough experience.
Benitez? Too much baggage and ego
Klopp? Best alternative candidate, but the timing was (apparently) off.

And I'll add that I wouldn't swap 20 Klopps for half of Bilic's left knee-cap.

Benitez?

Don't google it cholo.

What's that then? I haven't noticed it.

Jack Flash 11.39.

My thoughts exactly. I wanted all three of those over Bilic, whom I had reservations about at the time, but like you, he has totally won me over and I'm very happy with his appointment, he has proved me totally wrong.

As for Klopp, Bielsa and Benitez, we swerved the latter two and I have been totally underwhelmed with Klopp in the Premier League so far, along with his cringy Germanesque, hand holding thing at the end of some games.

Re: Shearer, in fairness I seem to remember he ate some humble pie on MoTD.. around about the time of the Man City or Liverpool away wins, and was complimentary of Bilic.

Keyes on the other hand must be seething.. I'm not sure it's West Ham per se he has a problem with, but Karren Brady.

Good article. While we are correctly lambasting the ‘ if carlberg employed ‘ cunts pair of keys, Gray and the rest. Let’s hold a special place for the son of sam Mr Alan Shearer, his attempt at arrogance by belittling and asking with a smirk ‘ what’s the West Ham way’ as well as the ‘ be careful what you wish for ‘ these comments should be moulded in hot plastic and rammed up his arse ---

I wouldn't say they have, but its obvious some people don't like clubs that aren't "fashionable" to be upsetting their applecart.

Re: Slaven Bilic deserves praise for turning West Ham into a hard-to-beat flair team
I think we also need to give the 2 x Dave's a bit of credit as well.

Appreciate there was umming and ahhingg on the gamble of a new manager and looking at Benitez, but you just have to look at the likes of Southampton, got rid of Nigel Adkins and brought in Pochettino (who was unheard of at the time) and they have developed forward as a club. Koeman has taken them forward as well, despite recent results. Whilst I am not comparing directly to the Saints, it was decision you could see worked.

It was crying to be done, but as you say wouldn't swap Bilic for the world at the moment, brought in great creative players, Payet & Lanzini and this is what the WHU fans wanted to see.

Irons!
